Northeast Wisconsin Pheasants Forever Chapter - Habitat Page
Local Habitat Efforts
Northeast Wisconsin Pheasants Forever Chapter's members are truly passionate about creating, preserving and restoring habitat that benefits pheasants, upland wildlife and pollinators.
Whether it's through improving habitat, informing the pubic about land management, or educating future generations of hunting enthusiasts, conservation is the underlying principle in all we do.
Check out below some of the habitat projects our chapter has helped with.
Seed Sales
Do you have land that you are looking to convert in to CRP or native prairie? Pheasants Forever has a great selection of native seeds for your project. Any seeds purchased through our chapter, 10% of those funds come directly back to our chapter to use on local fundraising habitat projects or learn to hunt events. Reach out to our chapter and we can direct you to our farm bill biologists who can help put together the perfect seed mix for you.

Habitat Projects
Holy Family Pollinator Project
Our chapter donated money & time to help with the Holy Family School in Green Bay to plant a pollinator plot. The students helped plant the native plants to benefit pollinators. This is a great plot that will help students learn about different pollinators and habitat upkeep.
Harmony Arboretum
Our chapter donated 1.5 acres of seed as a stream buffer for pollinators at the Harmony Arboretum in Peshtigo, WI.
Kroc Center Native Planting
We helped out at the Kroc Center in Green Bay with sod stiping of an area of land that they wanted to put into native planting. We worked on planting native habitat for all to enjoy.
Habitat Outreach
While our chapter works on various hands on habitat projects, we also try to contribute to other habitat outreach projects like pollinator walks and educational events.
Peter's Prairie
We have hosted pollinator walks on one of our chapter member's property. Peter has acres of native havitat, planted at different stages to show growth over the years. These walks showcase various native plants and teach about native plants, prairie upkeep and the importance of prescribed burns.
Leaving a Legacy Event
Our chapter donated money towards a local event about how to improve your land for future generations. This was a great event learning about forest, prairie and wetland management, medicinal plants and bird monitoring. There were educational speakers to talk and help landowners with any questions.
